First of all a huge thank you to all the developers and contributors here,this place has grown so much!....Im having an issue getting the webcam on my Hp6550b probook working under PE(nanely Win7PE_SE)...Im pretty familliar with driver incorporation during builds and even adding/installing drivers after boot as well..however getting my webcan working under pe has been puzzling..
I can install the driver after boot up,using device manager,or even run the .exe from HP driver support site and the system will tell me that the device and driver is working as it should,however the device is unavailable,apps such as skype and others report that the device is busy or being used..its a standard generic HP web cam.And on my regular nonPE system,is installed as an "imaging device"in device manager,I noted that my Win7PE_SE system doesnt show the webcam in that section once i install it,but has a new spot on its own on the devices list.....any ideas would be appreciated greatly thank you,
