Wanted: Best practice dependencies

Hi developpers,

having written two scripts, I'd like to get functionality of the first for the second one.

What I try to achieve is:

• Make script SRWare Iron depending on SumatraPDF if the tick of a specific option is set
  (informing the user that This option needs script xxx to be activated ...)
  
• Grab an attached archive from an external script and use the content for the current script
  (for instance: Access from script SRWare Iron to script SumatraPDF, extract/open one file and get the content back into SRWare Iron script)
  
• Nice to have: Check if the user breaks up the script dependency and if he does (later on), warn him

Any tips whether this is feasible, practical, possible... and how?
