wim conversion

Hey again, tried yet another search on google for this but...

I am trying to figure out a way to convert my
current wim image to a format that run of the
hard drive.

I tried copying the contents to a img file and booting of that
and it failed.

remade it as an iso and copied it's contents and tried booting from that.

i keep on failing, so what i am doing wrong????
