The application changes the screen resolution inside a running PE.
It is independent from the used video driver, and works also, when the right click into the desktop does not give you the possibility to change the display resolution.
Known (pseudo)issue: When used in a Virtual Machine, ScreenResEx does not change the resolution visibly, it only changes the size of the displayed VM window.
The .ZIP contains two files:
- ScreenResEx.script which can be added to any x86 project (x64 project may be possible, but is never tried)
- ScreenResEx.exe for custom use of the user.
- W/o parameters it starts the GUI, listing all possible resolutions for choice.
- with parameter <width>x<height>:
When the typed resolution is possible in the current system, the change is performed.
If not, nothing happens, no message about this.
